Good luck to EverAfter. It looks absolutely lovely. Pity my kid has grown up. I wish them luck. — TG on Seen & Heard: Free Outdoor Concert Lineup
Omigod! Enough already. Fresh Direct has to park (temporarily) some where for goodness sakes. As for the NYPD and FDNY...not sure I would go there. I have an idea; why don't you all go to the South Bronx for the day and give the locals some fresh ideas. I get it people I do but I also don't. I would rather have a cop take a parking space than an extension of Happy Coffee or whatever it is called. An exception of course is for the Mom whose child was almost hit by a fireman...that is not good. — TG on Seen & Heard: Rooftop Trampoline
An unpublished letter to the Times that I wrote:re: Wounded by ‘Fearless Girl,’ Creator of 'Charging Bull’ Wants Her to Move April 13, 2017 To the Editor: One of the lawyers for the bull’s creator says he hopes that the dispute over the two statues can be resolved amicably. How to do that is easy. Since the bull and the girl were both, in the first place, plunked down illegally under cover for darkness on city-owned land without any prior approval by any city agencies, why not just remove them both? — George Bacon on In the News: The Greenwich Hotel’s Back Door
That tweet was from someone high up in the company, so it may take a while to trickle down. I don't expect to cover it further. — Erik Torkells on Seen & Heard: Free Outdoor Concert Lineup
The hyper smoothy muscled "bull" sculpture is the cliche' way Financial Clevers like to think of themselves as they charge around practicing their self deluded scornful schemes. The Classic bull was the Minotaur, the Mythic insight into our divided nature. The Bull was killed in poetry (and in the Ring in Andalucia) to indicate the Human struggle to replace Aggressive Will with Reason, Self Respect and Respect of Others. At least the girl (also a cliche') represents a hopeful aspiration of an eventual change in our rigid mind set. — robert janz on In the News: The Greenwich Hotel’s Back Door
Hey Erik, I called WeWork about the space on Hudson and they don't know anything about it! Looking forward to hearing any more updates on that as you come across them. Thanks! Lisa — Lisa on Seen & Heard: Free Outdoor Concert Lineup
Welcome, I am Jacks cousin. His Mom and my grandmother were sister's! My father grew up in the highlands. Best area in Louisville. Good luck on your new business, and welcome to Louisville. It's a wonderful city! Lauren lechleiter — Lauren lechleiter on Spotlight: Roc
Factor #1 is proximity to Tribeca, which explains Smorgasburg, Canal Street Market, Cut, Augustine, Fowler & Wells. (You may not consider the last two very close to Tribeca, but they're not far form where I live.) That's why I don't include the Seaport and most of FiDi. Factor #2 is whether the place is of high and wide interest, which is why Trader Joe's is there. Factor #3 is whether I remember to update the list. It's not the most well-tended part of this garden. — Erik Torkells on Seen & Heard: Free Outdoor Concert Lineup
Why do you cherry pick restaurants and places opening in fidi and soho on the future openings list? I mean you had CUT, Augustine, Canal Street Market, and Fowler and Wells on the future openings list and right now you have Smorgasburg in Soho and Trader Joe's in Soho on the list. However, you mention or have mentioned places like Keste Wall Street, Blue Ribbon Federal Grill, Van Leeuwen, Fuku, Chick-Fil-A, etc in stories but did not list them under future openings. — Alex on Seen & Heard: Free Outdoor Concert Lineup

There are so many different designs, I've always wondered...what's to stop someone from making up a knock-off and putting on their dashboard and parking for free? — Makes you go "hmmm..." on Seen & Heard: Rooftop Trampoline
It's equally as bad over on Spruce/Beekman/Gold with EMS, Doctors, Volunteer Fire, and City Admin. Funny cause the hospital owns the basement parking in Spruce Street but choose to monetize it rather than give employees parking. — John on Seen & Heard: Rooftop Trampoline
Don't forget fire hydrants. This morning, a dark blue/black Jeep parked too close to a fire hydrant on Varick Street at the SE corner of Varick and N. Moore, NYS plate GYG5281 (VIN ending 7589) with genuine NYPD parking placard # 5740120. — James on Seen & Heard: Rooftop Trampoline
Everytime I see the BIG design I get so frustrated and annoyed. It's so ugly, uninspired, and downright offensive to the site and the memory and plan thereof. The Foster design, on the other hand, exudes an air of confidence and pois that fits the skyline very well(see Babylon A.D., or Eden of the East). It's nice to see the development of 3 WTC and they should just stick with marketing that to potential clients for now rather than rush the 2 WTC as there is lack of tennants, and no one would want to work in that ugly stack of jenga blocks. Very disconcerting oversight, all things considererd. Hopefully Mr. Silverstein comes to his senses and goes back to that wonderous Foster 2 WTC. — James on Is 3 World Trade Center a Dud?
