OK, so I only ever order their soup dumplings, but Shanghai Cafe Deluxe on Mott will deliver to TriBeCa. Usually requires an interesting phone call to make it happen though. — M on Where to Order Chinese Food in Tribeca
I can't imagine any business would open a new store unless there was a guarantee of a decent renewal period following the expiration of the initial year and a half left on the prior lease. — TribecaMom on So What Is Best Market?
China Blue is our go to. I also order form Nom Wah on Caviar (local delivery fee $1.99 for Tribeca). — Andrea on Where to Order Chinese Food in Tribeca
Agreed on the smell from Bareburger on Ann St - it's super strong. — K on The Tribeca Family Festival Is Going to Be an Entire Week
Excellent Dumpling is great for delivery. You can get great fresh dumplings from Tasty Dumpling but they also sell bags of 50 frozen dumplings for $9-12 depending on what's inside. Personally, I think it is phenomenal to have a bag of hand-made awesome pork dumplings in freezer, ready to steam at any given time. China Blue is an experience - to order in from there is missing out. The food is great, but the decor is swanky. Peking Duck House on Mott is also a nice destination for Chinese. If you can't handle gluten and are frustrated by the poor GF listings on sites like seamless, go straight to Wei West, who has the most extensive GF Chinese menu I've found: http://www.weiwestnyc.com/category/GF-Menu/6 — Rachel on Where to Order Chinese Food in Tribeca

Thanks for the heads up. That's my block of Laight unfortunately so I will be very curious to hear what they plan to use the space for 24/7 for that many days! — Amy on The Tribeca Family Festival Is Going to Be an Entire Week
I don't have a contact but I know Community Board 1 does (212-669-7970, man01@cb.nyc.gov). And I'm pretty sure residents on Hubert have one, too -- if anyone out there wants to send it to me at tribecacitizen@gmail.com, I'll forward it along to Lauren. — Erik Torkells on First Look: Citigroup’s New Headquarters
Is there a contact person/email for this project at Citi? The jackhammering/dump trucks in reverse/large steel items being dropped beginning at 3am and lasting through the morning is terrible for residents in the surrounding areas (especially directly across the street). — Lauren on First Look: Citigroup’s New Headquarters
I vote for China Blue also (although it's much better if you eat there.) — Jonathan on You Know How You Wanted Another Chinese Restaurant Around Here?
You obviously have not been to the Museum! The Port Authority supports the Sphere being returned to the site. — TribecaMom on Nosy Neighbor: Why Is This Statue Behind a Fence?
Why would you assume there will be a future lease? They have systematically cleared out most of the other retail tenants. Unless political pressure is brought to bear on the landlord, I predict there will be no renewal of this supermarket lease. — James on So What Is Best Market?
The Sphere is not part of the Memorial as it is property of the Port Authority not the Memorial . The Memorial is for the victims, not artifacts from the site. In addition, it was determined that it was too heavy to even be placed on the Memorial. It in a lovely spot in Battery Park In my opinion, it doesn't belong on the Memorial. Families carry enough grief without seeing a reminder of the carnage — KFPL on Nosy Neighbor: Why Is This Statue Behind a Fence?

By the way, Best Market is not BUYING the Food Emporium space; they are taking over the Food Emporium's lease - just as many other A&P stores that closed had to sell their leases, etc. when they all closed. (A&P, Pathmark, Walbaum's, Food Emporium....) I am amazed that A&P, which had such a great record years ago, allowed all of those stores to fall down and have to be replaced. The F.E. had another year and a half on their lease and the management of Independence Plaza says they are welcoming the new store - so I assume they are getting a good deal on a future lease. Hope so. Best, Diane Lapson — DIANE on So What Is Best Market?
We were craving a burger and walked over there around 5:30 on Saturday and the line went all the way down Sixth Ave. to Watts. Seriously!? Just what we wanted, another Cronut situation. I'm so sad about this because we loved Black Tap and now we'll never be able to there again. — Meg on In the News: Monstrous Milkshakes
China Blue. We initially thought it was too expensive but it depends on what you order. The quality and taste are excellent and consistent. — Huck's mom on You Know How You Wanted Another Chinese Restaurant Around Here?

I would like to know if the "tourist/security ambassadors" are able (and allowed) to perform CPR. IF someone is having a heart attack and they are standing next to them, what happens. I asked BPCA and they said that they are certified, but didn't respond about if they are allowed to intervene. — Liz on In the News: Battery Park City Authority Ditched the Parks Enforcement Patrol
Excellent Dumpling House 111 Lafayette St The dumplings are indeed excellent, thought during the blizzard weekend the other stuff less so. Open only till 9pm — Dixie on You Know How You Wanted Another Chinese Restaurant Around Here?
So so sad...and yes Eric there will be more imminent openings but that is besides the point. I still love the pedestal sink and fixtures purchased at GT almost two decades ago at half the price of Waterworks...so sad. Cheers to the nice landlord!
