I've been twice now and I'm in love. Coffee is faultless. I had the eggs and labneh dish you pictured above and it was divine. I asked about their hours and they said 6:30a-4pm weekdays, and then I think he said 8a-5p on weekends. He noted those were tentative though, and they're testing demand for staying open later, potentially until 7. Also, they were so kind, insisting I push two table together to fit my laptop with my food and coffee. While I agree there may be better places, it does seem the judge's order blocking the shelter in August 2025 was until "further documentation" was submitted. The new administration seems to have submitted documentation as per the court order, so that's why it is now able to move forward. Here’s a thought… STOP with the low barrier shelter and the story wouldn’t you rather have them in the shelter than in the street because where do you think they are hanging out all day. How about shelter have rules and people need to contribute - like clean the place. My second thought - find a place not next to a school. I was curious about the new shop's name, but after visiting their website, I was deeply disturbed. The site features graphic imagery, including videos of a man pointing a gun at a woman. It feels incredibly out of touch and inappropriate for a clothing brand to use such violent marketing. This is an appalling slap in the face to the local community that worked with local leaders, engaged the judicial system and halted this process. To place these severely disturbed individuals next to an elementary school is going out of the way to invite problems. The Mandami admins disregard for the community in an obvious effort to save face on its disastrous homeless policies that resulted in 17 deaths in two weeks is just a taste of what’s to come. when is this location going to stop being used as a migrant shelter? they literally - still ! - across street from it's entrance use scaffolding of that whole block to chain up not only their bikes (on both sides of the sidewalk so people can only walk through single file in 1 direction) but also card tables (they seem to use for an open air bodega and day care center), grills, huge water cooler jugs. Once I heard someone who seemed to also be a migrant but like their 'rep' telling the people living there and pointing out the bikes, tables, water judgs and BBQs locked to teh scaffolding. — FS on Radisson at 52 William to be used by the city for a migrant shelter
