The new Jenni Kayne shop on Harrison marks the brand’s first foray into New York City—the other five outposts are in California—and a turning point in general. It’s not a store, per se; you can browse, and you can try things on, but you can’t take anything with you. Instead, the staff will help you purchase online, with free ground shipping (or free expedited shipping for orders over $250). Kayne launched in 2001 when she was just 19 years old, and now the line has expanded to include women’s apparel, accessories, and decor, such as pillows, blankets, and candles. A handful of other brands are interspersed here and there.
