With more whimsy per square inch than everything else in FiDi combined, the Seaport District outpost of Carla Sozzani's Milan institution 10 Corso Como is the polar opposite of the intentionally drab aesthetic of the Goop era. But the real star might be the restaurant.
I was prepared for Il Mulino's new Tribeca outpost to be expensive, but $14 for a dish of olives? $65 for branzino? If the food is good, that might be justifiable. But what if it's not? / 19 comments
I almost wish Manhatta didn't have that view, as amazing as it is. Without the view, Manhatta would be the FiDi restaurant of one's dreams; with the view, I worry that it'll be impossible to drop in, and I'd like to eat there often. / 4 comments
The seasonal outpost of Gitano that opened in Hudson Square is going to be huge: A little bit of Tulum has made its way to this area, along with a bit of the Meatpacking District. / 2 comments

Given the location on the edge of Chinatown, the emphasis is on Asian food—dim sum, Korean BBQ, ramen, sushi burritos, bubble tea, and so on—but you'll also find salads, Lebanese-inspired dishes, grain bowls, ice cream, pie, and smoothies. / 1 comment
The Blue Ribbon group has grown mightily from its Soho roots—with myriad restaurants, bars, even bowling alleys—and the new Blue Ribbon Federal Grill in FiDi is its fanciest establishment so far. So how is it?
If there's better pizza below Canal, I don't know it, and prices are relatively low—but don't expect to get what you don't pay for. / 8 comments
