GAGA GOES TRIBECA
On Friday night, none other than Lady Gaga popped by Duane Park restaurant to hang out and sing a little Gershwin with her friend bandleader Brian Newman.

SUGGESTION BOX: WHOLE FOODS TRIBECA
Let’s try something new! What do you wish Whole Foods would do differently? When we’re done I’ll email our suggestions over to the manager. (Some interesting ideas have already come up in the comments.)

WICKIWORLD: BELLS ARE RINGING
Ceramicist Lai Montesca has created a site-specific installation of bells and chimes (right) at Re:Creative on Chambers. “In Buddhist thought, sounding chimes or bells summons the soul,” she says. “I hope for nothing less.”

••• This week: Tribeca Meet & Greet, for business owners and locals to mingle; James Franco’s art exhibit opens; a preview of an Australian film called “Animal Kingdom”; athlete Misty May-Treanor; Eroica Trio; Tuscan wine tasting; “Surviving Hitler: A Love Story”; and more. Plus: the full calendar through July 24.

RUMMAGING THE PAST
A bunch of old real-estate brochures are now available online, and many are in Tribeca. They make for a fascinating glimpse into the way things used to be.

NEW POP-UP SHOP: CSILLAWEAR
Designer Csilla Somogyi of CsillaWear is taking over 9 N. Moore for a time. Originally from Hungary—her name is pronounced chee-lah—Csilla has also lived in Africa, Mexico, and Texas, and her designs (right) certainly have a global feel. Take a look….

SEEN & HEARD
••• 6/18 roundup: Two new shops—Nirvana International and Mauri opened Saturday and today, respectively. Plus: Downtown Dance Factory’s new classes; Just Scandinavian discount; new Khushi scrub; Over the Rhine and Paula Cole; and have you see this dog?

FOTO FRIDAY
“Best Foto Friday!” Someone actually said that! And it wasn’t me! The photos were taken on Murray, Duane, West Broadway, and Chambers. Plus: In photo-related news, Allen correctly identified last week’s “Where in Tribeca…?” entry as 199 Church. Bravo!
