REPLACING CHANTERELLE…
A chef who did a stint at Bouley before returning home to open an acclaimed restaurant now appears to be coming back to Tribeca.

STATE OF THE SITE
Maybe it’s because of the new year, but I’ve been thinking about the future—of this site and of my life. Launching Tribeca Citizen has been a blast, and I truly do learn something new (or meet someone new) every day, but from the start, I had always imagined grander things.

PROGRESS REPORT: OPENING LATERISH
We’ve been through the businesses that seem like they might open fairly soon—now, let’s take a look at the second wave, including the one replacing Columbine (left), which is moving next door.

SEEN & HEARD
••• 1/10 roundup: Yorganic open. Plus: Deals at Sea-Horse, Gymboree Play & Music, and Terroir Tribeca; new opening date for Bouley’s Boji; a CSA-like program that delivers to your home.
••• 1/11 roundup: Jazz bar update. Plus: Lance Lappin salon deal; meeting for parents and the teachers’ union; Moomah; a thought about restaurants and OpenTable.

PRETTY LITTLE BLIZZARD
I spent yesterday griping about another snowstorm, but what a lovely one it turned out to be! Everything is frosted just so.

IN THE NEWS
••• 1/10 roundup: School crowding. Plus: Canal Street reconstruction; review of “Pants on Fire’s Metamorphoses” at the Flea; a mini-memoir of working at Yaffa.
••• 1/11 roundup: Millenium Hilton. Plus: Jehangir Mehta’s kitchen; “tattoo artist to the stars” in trouble; big lease at 100 Church; when apartments for sale or rent have explicit art.
••• 1/12 roundup: Plans for 250 West. Plus: The woman behind Weather Up; dining and dashing at Mehtaphor; more on Nouriel Roubini; Equinox’s cheap new brand; Skyscraper Museum; Park51 exhibit.

NEW KID ON THE BLOCK: ELLIMAN RENTALS
Prudential Douglas Elliman has devoted its Leonard Street storefront (part of its Hudson Street office) to a new division all about rentals.

Just three of the highlights from the calendar for this weekend. More info on these—and the full calendar—is here.
