••• You know the corner of Broadway and Reade where Radio Shack used to be? The space is going to be a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.

••• I walked up the Renwick side of the two-faced building going up at 2 Renwick, with two hotels and entrances on Hudson and Renwick. The Renwick side has a rendering. (Is the Department of Buildings making developers post renderings? I love it.) Looks nice enough, especially considering that (assuming this is still true), the parties involved include crappy-hotel builder Sam Chang, barfchitect Gene Kaufman, and Ponte Equities. The second photo shows where construction stands now on the Renwick side. Here’s the Hudson side.

••• Box Kite Coffee inside Maslow 6 Wine Bar has started serving lunch (11 a.m. to 3 p.m.)—two sandwiches, a salad, cheese, and for you late risers, museli.

••• There’s a rumor floating around that Carolin Kennedy will be feted at the Odeon this Saturday night, but the restaurant shows wide availability on OpenTable, so maybe not? Speaking of rumors: I also heard that Kidville was taking the old Baker space at Hudson and Beach, but a Kidville rep said that’s not so.

••• I wondered aloud on Twitter why I often end up with black marks on my hand when I ride a Citi Bike, and Manhattan Loft Guy replied that it could be the seat-adjustment mechanism (which makes sense because I always have to adjust the seat). Anyway, be warned.

••• Troy sent in this photos showing that the National City Bank building at 415 Broadway (at Canal) appears to be getting work done. Last I heard, a Duane Reade was going in.
