MAJOR FOOD NEWS FOR 5 BEEKMAN
According to El Vez restaurateur Stephen Starr, Keith McNally is definitely opening a restaurant at the Beekman Hotel (as the 5 Beekman/Temple Court hotel is being called)—and so is chef Tom Colicchio. Also, check out this post for info on the hotel’s downstairs “lounge” and rentable terraces.

NEW PLANS FOR THE PARK51 SPACE
The developer has scaled down from fifteen stories to three, and it will be designed by Jean Nouvel and with green space. Whether it gets built is another question entirely….

CORRECTION: NO OBFUSCATION AT 11 SIXTH AVE.
The plans for the restaurant at 11 Sixth Ave. that a neighbor had dug up were old, and they had been withdrawn from the Department of Buildings (but they still show up in the database as approved). The new design calls for no rooftop seating. Read the full correction.
