Seen & Heard: An Update on Cafe Boca Ciega’s Closing

••• Cafe Boca Ciega, which was said to be closing in December, says it’s now closing in February. The adjacent No Romance Galleries has shuttered.

••• Checking in on 115 Nassau, a.k.a. the new condo tower that’s affiliated with the 5 Beekman hotel. Tinted windows, eh? Remember, this is the one with the po-mo turrets (it’ll be 51 stories when done).

115 nassau••• Ohhhhhh…. Bar Cyrk is supposed to sound like “berserk”!

••• The next meeting of the NYPD 1st Precinct Community Council will be Jan. 29 at 6:30 p.m. at the station house at Varick and Ericsson Place.

••• Community Board 1 says that “this year, 16 and 17 year-olds can apply” for Community Board 1. There’s an info session just for teens. Seems cruel to appoint people who can’t get legally drunk after a meeting.

••• The reader known as Hudson River notes more signage at Brookfield Place: “The Ferragamo one is on the north side of the Winter Garden; the second one is in the old Tahari space on the mezzanine. The third one is the Liberty Street entrance at the end of South End where Saks will be. They’re also making progress on the Vesey Street entrance.” Previously: Tory Burch, Equinox.
