Manhattan Borough President’s Office Small Business – Report
3) 93 Worth Street, application for a Board of Standards and Appeals special permit for a Physical Culture establishment for 93 Worth Street Gym, LLC – Resolution
That’s I.C.E. NYC, as covered here.
4) 281 Broadway, application for a Board of Standards and Appeals special permit for a Physical Culture establishment for CrossFit TriBeCa – Resolution
This Crossfit studio (right word?) has been there for a while now.
4) Application to rename the block of Sixth Avenue from Franklin Street to White Street to Avenue of the Americas – Resolution
This baffled me for a while—because what New Yorker would ever prefer “Avenue of the Americas” to Sixth Ave.—and then I realized the applicant must be DDG, the developer planning the building on that block. Indeed, I got clarification from CB1: DDG wants to use “One Avenue of the Americas” as the building’s address.
5) 349 Greenwich Street, application for restaurant liquor license for 349 Greenwich Street Restaurant LLC – Resolution
That’s the old Dean’s space, and this promises to be interesting: Is it celebrity chef Tyler Florence opening a second outpost of his Wayfare restaurant (the other is in San Francisco), or is it something else?
6) 20 Warren Street, application for tavern liquor license for 20 Killarney Tavern Corp. d/b/a Tara of Tribeca – Resolution
It’s takes megaballs to ignore CB1 the first time you need their approval, instead going straight to the State Liquor Authority—and then come back to present again.
7) 221 W. Broadway, application for alteration of restaurant liquor license to permit use of a sidewalk cafe for North of Houston LLC d/b/a White Street – Resolution
Held over from July. I still wonder if they mean tables on W. Broadway (in front of that set of stairs?) or on White Street (the committee historically opposes café seating on side streets).
8) 211 W. Broadway, application for new liquor license for Maman Tribeca LLC – Resolution
9) 175 Franklin Street, application for restaurant liquor license for entity to be formed by Jean Dupuy – Resolution
After I posted about how Sushi Tatsu had put a public notice in the window of 175 Franklin saying that its liquor-license application would be discussed at the Community Board 1 Tribeca Committee meeting, the CB1 agendas came out—including this. It’s possible that someone named Jean Dupuy is opening Sushi Tatsu. (The only Jean Dupuys I find online are a pro hockey player and a 90-year-old artist.) It’s also possible that CB1 got something wrong. And it’s also possible that the landlord is playing two potential tenants against each other…. UPDATE 8/30: Someone named Jean Dupuy is indeed opening Sushi Tatsu, with a former chef from Sushi Yasuda. The full details are here.
10) The following notices have been received for renewal, upgrade, or transfer of wine and beer or liquor licenses or sidewalk cafe permits:
—249 W. Broadway, application for renewal of tavern wine and beer license for
Anotheroom Inc.

Inc.

Takahachi Tribeca Restaurant

Tribeca Hummus, Inc. d/b/a Nish Nush
—124 Chambers Street, application for renewal of liquor license for Ecco Restaurant
—429-435 Greenwich Street (AKA 62 Laight Street), application for renewal of
restaurant and tavern liquor license for LKS Concepts LLC d/b/a Dylan Prime
Kind of doubt it, since the restaurant has closed, but if some percentage of the ownership wants to open a new restaurant there, a renewal would be more applicable than an application for a new license.
—77-79 Hudson Street, application for a renewal of a liquor license for Zutto

—6 Harrison Street, application for a renewal of a liquor license for Juna Sik

license for Terra

Since you asked, Cross Fitters call their gym/studio a box.
Would be very interested in the update on the work being done on Broadway, south of Vesey. Technically, that may be outside TC’s area of interest, but as the traffic flow often backs up Broadway for blocks during busier times of day, I would think there are many in the area who might share my interest.
Agree 100% that the construction is maddening (I live on Broadway), but I don’t think I can brave a second CB1 meeting this month. If anyone goes to the FiDi Committee meeting and wants to share the Broadway construction update, fantastic. Or we can try contacting CB1 afterward to see what the news is. It may be simply that the work is progressing on scheduled, but given the way the Chambers and Hudson reconstruction projects went, it’s more likely that the project will take much longer than estimated.
