••• Today (Sept. 1) at 6 p.m.: AD-65 forum (that’s Sheldon Silver’s former seat). “The New York League of Conservation Voters Education Fund will host an environmental candidate forum to discuss issues impacting Lower Manhattan. The forum will provide a unique opportunity to ask candidates where they stand on issues such as: resiliency, clean energy, parks and open space, sustainable transportation, and access to fresh and local foods. Representatives of the following organizations will each be present to ask questions: Waterfront Alliance, Transportation Alternatives, New Yorkers for Parks and the Lower East Side Ecology Center.” Let’s hope Alice Cancel has time in her busy schedule.
