In the News: Another Redesign for Broadway Tower

••• Cool Hunting takes a long look at Farm. One, the basement farm under Atera. I’m kicking myself for not doing a larger post about it last fall.

••• I missed this last week: The Wall Street Journal ran a recipe for steak au poivre from Frenchette chefs Riad Nasr and Lee Hanson. The article says the restaurant is opening “in a few weeks.”

••• “Derek Jeter’s plans to rebuild Marlins Park in Florida could be thwarted thanks to a Tribeca artist who’s so far refused to remove his gaudy $2.5 million home-run sculpture. The vibrant, seven-story piece comes to life with flashing lights, diving marlins and dancing flamingos whenever a home run is hit and currently sits in center field—where pop artist Red Grooms wants it to remain.” —New York Post

••• “After Hurricane Maria tore through Puerto Rico, the Manhattan Youth Tritons swim team wanted to help. So last December, dozens of their young athletes made a big fundraising splash during their swimathon. […] The $17,000 and counting raised by the youth team through a GoFundMe page helped Club De Natacion in Caguas, Puerto Rico, repair its own pool and bleachers.” They can tackle the BMCC pool next. (The GoFundMe page is here.) —Fox 5

••• The building at 267 Broadway is on the market as a redevelopment site, and now we have the third set of renderings to emerge for the project. They’re irrelevant, of course, unless a buyer decides to use the design. —YIMBY
