Seen & Heard: Two New Galleries

••• First Kerry Schuss moved his gallery back to Tribeca, and now Peter and Maria Hionas are moving theirs back, too: The basement space at 356 Broadway should reopen in time for the holidays.

••• In other gallery news, it appears that Artists Space has left the storefront at 55 Walker that it was using for its Books & Talks annex, because Bortolami gallery down the street sent out an email saying that the space is now called 55 Walker, and it’s “a collaborative project operated by Bortomali Gallery, Kaufmann Repetto, and Andrew Kreps Gallery.” Starting Friday, it  will host “three simultaneous exhibitions organized by New York–based curatorial programs without fixed locations.”

••• And there’s a pop-up gallery at 72 Warren this week.

••• The 1st Precinct Neighborhood Coordination Officers  for Sector D (Soho and Hudson Square, west of Broadway) are having a community meeting tomorrow (Nov. 7) at 6:30 p.m. at Scholastic (130 Mercer, 12th floor).

••• Opening tonight at R & Company‘s White Street gallery: “New Works by Jeff Zimmerman,” whose creations are always worth a look.

••• At 59 Franklin today through Friday (6-9 p.m.): Tribeca paintings by Liam, who was recently profiled in the Trib.

  1. Hey, I like the look of those Liam paintings. Do you have a contact at the gallery if I wanted to buy one?
