WHAT’S HAPPENING AT 86 WARREN?
The parking lot on the north side of Warren just east of Gee Whiz is a parking lot no more, poised instead for the next (smallish) development on the block.

NEW KID ON THE BLOCK: LOLA TRIBECA
Taking over Cass Lilien’s 50-square-foot shop at 24 Harrison St. will be Lola Tribeca, a jewelry and gift store that will feature work from local makers and designers.

EYESORE OF THE WEEK
The storefront at 121 Chambers Street does not have to look as derelict as it does while owners develop two extra floors and restore the building.

NEW KID: WHITMANS
The burger joint that made a name for itself on the Lower East Side has taken up residence in the storefront of 261 Hudson just north of the border at Canal.

SEEN & HEARD
Jan. 31: Three closings that sting: Sun In Bloom is closing today. The Evening Bar and Jack Erwin are migrating to points north and west. All three opened in 2014, five years ago almost to the day for Sun In Bloom.
Feb. 2: Hudson River Park going plastic-free; Plus apply now for a seat on Community Board 1; upcoming literary salon with Pen Parentis at The Hideout.
