Seen & Heard: The new private dining, curbside

H. sent this shot of the new cubbies at Tamarind, which has had a very nice showing on the street till now. And it made me think to cull through my photos to see who else is creating cozy spaces on the street.

In the new definition of bubbles at a wine bar, the geodesic domes at City Vineyard are lit from within.

Jungsik’s curbside private dining is spare and gorgeous.

Crown Shy worked with the city to close Pine Street and erect what they call their “yurt village” serving only a prix fixe menu, to be more efficient. We’re not in Mongolia any more, Toto.

  1. Lovely and creative, but : Is this any safer than dining indoors? These seem like little virus containment boxes!
