Seen & Heard: More charming drawings of local restaurants

OUR RESTAURANTS, BY PEN AND INK
John Donohue, whose drawings of local restaurants were featured here in 2017, has in those past four years expanded his repertoire. He’s got more Tribeca restaurants featured as well as some in Paris and London, with a new book dedicated to Paris haunts. He’s also donated his work for charities, including City Harvest, the Historic Districts Council and since the pandemic — ROAR, the restaurant advocacy group founded by the Crown Shy folks.

ACTION AT NORTH END GRILL?

  1. Re the former North End Grill: There’s been a good bit of work there over the past couple of months. It appears the kitchen equipment has all been replaced and the barroom and dining room have been repainted off-white. Poked my head in last week. Maybe an August opening?
