STATE WILL FIND A NEW LOCATION FOR MONUMENT
First the state said it would pause plans to build a monument to essential workers on the Rockefeller fields till tomorrow, then the chairman of the Battery Park City Authority told residents in person that he and the governor agree with neighbors: the lawn is not the spot. There’s still a rally planned for today at 3.

The Anish Kapoor bean is stalled out due to travel restrictions — another victim of the pandemic pause. Construction will resume when UK residents are allowed back in.
