Joe & The Juice coming to the Pret A Manger space on Church

Joe & The Juice, which just ceded its longtime spot on Greenwich and Warren, will open in the former Pret A Manger location in 100 Church at Park Place. J. noted this move in comments, and I confirmed with the company.

Chase Bank is taking Joe’s space, along with the Gee Whiz corner.

Pret A Manger closed that location in late June; the British grab-and-go sandwich chain opened there in 2011. There are still 44 locations in the city, including the World Trade Center, Broadway and Thomas, and three more in Fidi.

Joe & The Juice, the Danish coffee chain that opened on Greenwich in 2018. The chain started in 2002 with a single store in Copenhagen, was bought out by a private equity firm in 2012 and started a global expansion. There are now more than 500 outposts worldwide including 23 in the city, with two in Fidi and one in Soho.
