Distilled is a modern take on a pub, serving not-unambitious New American food in a casual setting. Dishes are meant to be shared, the napkins are paper, flatware is stored in tabletop caddies, and the music is lively. While the high-ceilinged room has huge windows on two sides, wooden blinds often block the view, turning the space somewhat insular. The “libations” menu includes several meads by the glass, as well as cocktails with homemade bitters, moonshine, and other of-the-moment ingredients. And the outdoor seating is among Tribeca’s best.
