Along with Kaffe 1668 and Gotan, La Colombe—an import from Philadelphia—is one of the trinity of top-tier Tribeca coffee shops, and its beans are found in many local restaurants. The café is pretty but bare-bones, serving coffee, espresso-based drinks, and a handful of pastries. The charm comes from the hipster staff, the chipped Old World cups and saucers, the picture windows, and watching the clientele, much of which work at nearby ad agencies. Note: no public restroom.
