Once known as Jin Market and then Picnic Basket, Hudson Market is a New York City–style deli with stations serving salads, sandwiches, soups, burgers, eggs, coffee, juices, ice cream and frozen yogurt, even bibimbap. There are a couple tables inside.
I loved it when it was Jin Market and Pinic Basket (great juice bar, lattes and pastries) but what has happened to this place?! First I have to say that the prices are outrageous even by NYC bodega standards … $4 for a pint of cream? $5 for a quart of OJ? I mean, really? Second, the smell… what is that smell? Its like an old hot dog cart. Before I would stop in all the time, now I would rather walk the extra two blocks to go to Food Emporium or even Duane Reade for emergency OJ runs!
