Three friends—Michael, Abdul, and Kenneth—with experience working at various bars in the neighborhood decided to open their own place in 2009. The room is high-ceilinged with brick walls; to the front there’s lounge seating, while in the back are restaurant tables (and the bar is in the middle). Ward III specializes in “bespoke” cocktails (where you don’t order so much as give the bartender an idea of what you want, although you can simply order, too).
