THERE GOES THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Among the Tribeca Film Festival T-shirts being sold at this weekend’s Family Festival (right) was one that said “Here Comes the Neighborhood.” Which neighborhood? Times Square? It was a full-on corporate orgy—AT&T! Coca-Cola! Polaroid! Time Warner Cable! Fandango! Madame Tussauds!—with most local businesses shoved off to the side. The kids loved it, but it made me feel like a grinch.
