RECYCLE CLOTHING AT THE TRIBECA GREENMARKET, NOW TWO DAYS A WEEK!
The Wednesday Tribeca Greenmarket has returned for the season, and with it a second weekly opportunity to donate textiles like clothing and linens. Every year nearly 200,000 tons of unwanted clothing, towels and other textiles ends up in NYC’s trash. GrowNYC offers a solution by collecting clean and dry clothing, paired shoes, coats, linens, scarves, hats, bags and belts. Materials will be sorted for reuse or recycling. Saturdays, 8am-1:30pm and Wednesdays, 8am-1pm; Greenwich St. at Chambers. Visit GrowNYC.org/clothing for more information. GrowNYC’s Office of Recycling Outreach and Education is a NYC Department of Sanitation funded program. Sponsored.

THIS MIGHT MAKE THE NEWSLETTER EASIER
Thanks to everyone who took the survey (there’s still time, so why not do it now?); I’ll post the results soon. One comment that came up a few times was newsletter readers’ frustration about having to toggle between their email program and their Web broswer. This may only make it a little better, but every newsletter also lives as a post on tribecacitizen.com, and you can always click on the link at the top of every newsletter to read it that way. (Pictured is how the link looks in Gmail—I’m not entirely sure it looks the same in other programs.)
