If you went clubbing much between 1978 and 2007, the Tribeca Grand’s new name might give you a flashback.

“Just wondering if you have any idea what the set-up on Pier 26 is for? It’s the most enormous one I’ve seen there—must be some corporate event but I can’t find any information about it.”—E. It is (was?) actually a big fashion-world secret—a major house’s open-to-the-public show, and they’re saving a certain number of seats for people who live nearby.

The space formerly home to Dean’s will be the second outpost of a Midtown restaurant.

TWO TRIBECA WITHDRAWALS
Fancy bed company Duxiana has closed its Tribeca store, deciding the Flatiron might make more sense. And Valley National Bank is closing its Tribeca branch. The Franklin Tower storefront is a rather grand space, so it’ll be interesting to see what takes its place….
