June 23, 2016 Restaurant/Bar News
Aahar Indian Cuisine, now open in the Murray Street space that was most recently Agoda Asian Cuisine, is a sister of Bombay’s Indian Restaurant in FiDi. The long à la carte menu is pan-Indian, but a server says that the kitchen can amp up the spice, as you’d find in South India, if you like it hot. (The menu is too long to post here, but you can see PDFs on the website.) The $14 lunch special—your choice of appetizer, entrée, and bread from a set menu—is expected to be a big draw. Delivery is available, and you’ll want to know that the name is pronounced ah-har. I’ve added it to the Tribeca Pronunciation Guide.
Aahar Indian Cuisine is at 10 Murray (between Church and Broadway), 646-649-3374; aaharny.com.

Ordered last night and it was excellent. Though I have a soft spot in my heart for the Tea House this is my new go to! I highly recommend it…nice decor too. Beer is also available.
