The 15th-annual Inside Tribeca Loft Tour, benefiting Friends of Duane Park and Friends of Bogardus Garden, is Sunday, Oct. 19 (1–5 p.m.). Tickets are $60 at duanepark.org or $65 the day of, but don’t wait, because only 400 tickets are available, and the event always sells out so buy your ticket now. Friends of Duane Park lets the media preview some of the nine homes on the tour; the first was this 6,500-square-foot loft on Franklin Street. (P.S. The event needs volunteers: “In exchange for a two-hour shift—1-3 p.m. or 3-5 p.m.—you’ll receive a free ticket to take the tour yourself.” More info.)
This triplex maisonette on Collister was designed by Sara Gilbane for a couple with two kids. The five-month renovation included all new baths and combining the galley kitchen with an adjacent room to make a big eat-in kitchen with office. The home is around 4,000 square feet, with three bedrooms. Landscape designer Lauren Loscialo of Lauren E. Living handled the terrace. I briefly threatened to barricade myself inside the master bedroom.
