I was hoping for something new in that space. PJ Clark’s serving more oysters is not really adding much. — Amanda on P.J. Clarke’s adds an oyster bar
I'd take it further and say all outdoor advertising should be eliminated altogether. It's just visual pollution, not much better than graffiti or litter, except that it's done with the permission of and payment to the property owner. An old article on this issue: https://www.theguardian.com/cities/2015/aug/11/can-cities-kick-ads-ban-urban-billboards — Marcus on Nosy Neighbor: “I find this bus stop ad concerning.”
This morning a little before 9am my daughter dropped her favorite stuffed doll near the LPQ on the corner of West Broadway and Greenwich. It My First Dolly by Gund. I was wondering if anyone might have found it. Thank you. — Amanda on “Meadow Lane” coming to Harrison and Greenwich
I agree with P and think the ad is inappropriate for a public space where there are so many children walking by. If it was a hetero couple it obv still isn’t appropriate. Enjoying sexuality should be for at home and not for public display. Nobody wants to see that while walking esp with kids — DowntownLady on Nosy Neighbor: “I find this bus stop ad concerning.”
Wow - Seeing This Kinda Breaks My Heart… As a Born & Raised NYC Kid…The 90s and HipHop wouldn’t be the Same With Out This Place. So many Good Memories. Long Live Tents — Joey Ones on Flashback: The days of Tent & Trails
Weighing in here since P. and I had a lot of back and forth: I actually think it never would have run if it were an obviously hetero situation -- Camper is playing into the idea that lesbian sex is less serious and more playful. And of course there are more pressing issues! But nothing is mutually exclusive. We read about sports games while war rages across the planet. And I do think video advertising in public spaces is intrusive and adding to our mental fatigue. It should be eliminated altogether. — Tribeca Citizen on Nosy Neighbor: “I find this bus stop ad concerning.”
Agree with Tribeca Dad. There is more than a whiff of homophobia here. — Heide Fasnacht on Nosy Neighbor: “I find this bus stop ad concerning.”
Seems like it could be a great addition to the neighborhood! Hopefully it lasts. — Tribeca Dad on “Meadow Lane” coming to Harrison and Greenwich
I feel like there are more pressing issues we should be focused on than this bus stop ad. Also would “P” be as offended if it was a heterosexual couple in the ad? — Tribeca Dad on Nosy Neighbor: “I find this bus stop ad concerning.”
Maybe Laughing Man is a model for success. — J on “Meadow Lane” coming to Harrison and Greenwich
Space will probably continue to struggle, very difficult to pay market rent (on a per square foot basis) there because the space is sneakily large but inefficient. Would have to sell a lot of cocktails/wine to make it work (think an all day/night dining/hangout spot like Balthazar, Odeon, the old Barbuto) but doubt the neighborhood would allow that nowadays. — DH on “Meadow Lane” coming to Harrison and Greenwich
Outside of Tribeca, but saw a bunch of police officers on Thompson today cracking down on these illegal shops. — H on Crackdown (finally) on illegal smoke shops?
I went in the other day and it looks alright, no big deal. — Lulu Rose on Japanese market coming to Greenwich and Franklin
the space is too small to be an HMart, but a good deli would be welcomed. Morgan's has some good veggies but no real meat or fish. The good news is Hashi Japanese Market just opened on Greenwich and Franklin, they are open until 10, they have some fish and meat and some cooked Japanese food. Downstairs is household supplies. — charlie L on Progress at H Mart?

The coffee was great when I went - they have all of their best people working there to launch it, including one of the company's founders. At the moment, there's a good chance you'll find this guy working. https://www.instagram.com/dqflook/ He's the 2022 and 2023 US Latte Art Champion. If your coffee was room temperature, you should have mentioned it to them. They will gladly fix any issue. — Peter Cuce on Seen & Heard: Coffee Project is open at 450 Washington

Thanks. One of the dismaying things about NYC is how long it takes for projects like this to get started and completed. It is depressing. — Don on Seen & Heard: Colony moves to new space on Varick
LOL there are people riding Citibike because they are afraid of the subway. — lisa on In the News: Long Islanders can’t handle the subway
Awesome! Looking forward to seeing its return in all its glory and then some. — Anthony on Port Authority will re-green the living wall at Liberty Park
Coffee Project Tribeca: I was there twice last week and was underwhelmed. Coffee was average but on both occasions my wife and I were served room temperature hot coffees. Will be back for Big Gay Ice Cream though! — Tribeca Dad on Seen & Heard: Coffee Project is open at 450 Washington
I just requested the trees also. Here's the form: https://www.nycgovparks.org/trees/street-tree-planting/request Sad that this area around the post office is so poorly maintained. Always so dirty with so much trash. — Marcus on Nosy Neighbor: What happened to the American flag on the post office?
