Vittorio Assaf and Fabio Granato founded Serafina in 1995, and the chain now has locations in Dubai, Tokyo, Mumbai, Istanbul, Rio de Janeiro, and other cities around the world. At the Tribeca location, in an annex to the Cosmopolitan Hotel, there are 128 seats over three floors, including the private-event space below ground. (The top floor is quieter, but bear in mind that the restaurant is very popular with families.) The menu is the same at lunch and dinner, while breakfast and brunch have their own options. You’ll find pastas, pizzas, and entrées that aren’t especially Italian.
