BIKINI BAR TRAGEDY
Co-owner Stuart Smith died after falling from the roof of 148 Duane on early Sunday morning. If anyone hears about a memorial service, please email me at tribecacitizen@gmail.com. A number of readers would like to attend.

9/11 MEMORIAL TICKETS
The 9/11 Memorial opens to the public on September 12, and reservations (entrance is by timed entry) are now being accepted. The process is easy, although there are a few things to bear in mind.

SEEN & HEARD
••• 7/12: Parr Studios is now open, sort of. Plus: Boomerang Toys wants your support; a deli rebrands; mystery bench.
••• 7/13: City Hall Park in the 1940s. Plus: Barber shop not happening on Lispenard; Tribeca Decor move; bluegrass.

LOFT PEEPING: MICHAEL & VICTORIA IMPERIOLI
Check out the four-story building on W. Broadway owned by actor Michael Imperioli (best known as Christopher Moltisanti on “The Sopranos”) and his wife, Victoria. She’s a set designer, and it shows. The building was on the market, then off, and now it’s back.

VALENTINE NO. 4
Meet me in the basement….

EIGHT NEW ENTHUSIASMS
When I talk about enthusiasms, I mean things that have caught my attention—or in this post’s case, my appetite—in a big way.

IN THE NEWS
••• 7/11: Anyone else get the feeling that the 9/11 memorial is all we’ll be hearing about for the next two months? Plus: West Thames Park tire swing; Park51 lawsuit dismissed; moving from Park Ave. to N. Moore Street.

  1. What an unfortunate accident. I’ve been living in TriBeCa for nearly 20 years, and have never heard of this place.
