Let’s take another sneak peek of the Inside Tribeca Loft Tour (Sunday, Oct. 14): an old-school artist’s loft on Desbrosses with a few quirky amenities—sauna, loading dock, urinals—and an army of “warriors.”

“On Franklin Street, there’s cloth netting laid over the part that’s already done, and in the overnight hours there are hoses running the length of the project that sprinkle water continuously. Why does cobblestoning require sprinklers?” —Mike
ART FOR OBAMA
My good friend is a cohost of a benefit for President Obama this Thursday, and what makes it locally noteworthy is that it’s at the Hudson Street home of Susan and Michael Hort. They have the most jaw-dropping collection of contemporary art: If you like contemporary art, you really must see it. (Yes, I have.) If two friends weren’t getting married that night, I’d so be there. I hope you’ll consider it. We must not be complacent (and I know the party will be fun). RSVP here.
REAL ESTATE SALES REPORT
Thanks to reader Antony Courtney, the sales report is back. These are the properties whose sales were “recorded” by the city in the past seven days (ending 09/29/12)—the sales may have taken place earlier. Among them: Newsman Dylan Ratigan’s (sold) apartment.
