New Kid on the Block: Perpetuum Café

Just over two years after opening the first Perpetuum Café in Chelsea, Can Ruan has debuted a second one. The former Mobile X store has been renovated into a crisp, high-ceilinged room with a handful of low tables, free wi-fi, and Toby's Estate Coffee.

I expected throngs of fans to swarm Franklin Stree I expected throngs of fans to swarm Franklin Street ahead of Taylor Swift's big day, but all was quiet this morning. Police had three cars in wait and, according to a photog for a German newspaper, they dropped off the barricades yesterday just in case.
