The latest openings around the neighborhood

NANCY WHISKEY OPENS TOMORROW
Nancy Whiskey Pub will open its doors again on Tuesday, June 23, with outdoor seating and food to go. Hours are noon to 8, and they will adjust the time moving forward.

TERROIR IS OFFERING ONLINE CLASSES
Terroir on Harrison opens Wednesday, June 24, with snacks, salads, sandwiches, wine of course and Riesling slushies. In the meantime, they are offering summer wine classes on Zoom for $35. And for the entirety of summer 2020, 30 percent of every ticket purchased will be donated to The NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund. Coming up this week: Shakespeare’s great characters through the wine lens; Germany: a visit to Riesling’s birthplace. (I don’t know who does these wild collages for their Instagram, but they are great.)

BILLY’S IS BACK
Billy’s Bakery on Franklin between Broadway and Church opened on June 8 for delivery and takeout. Hours are 11 to 6; (212) 647.9958 or order online here. I go straight for the banana pudding cups with nilla wafers.

HUNGRY GHOST HAS REOPENED

  1. Spiralxyz hair salon on West Bway is open (and they do a fabulous job with curly hair!).

  2. Seamore’s in BPC is now open as well.

  3. Ray’s Barber Shop on park place is back open. They did a great job of upgrading and place feels really clean and open and airy and partitioned at the same time. 200+ reviews on yelp, 4.5 star rating. Been in the neighborhood for years.
