The latest openings around the neighborhood

Opened this week: L’Angolo (today), Wolfgang’s, The Palm, Ever After, Koh’s Kids, and more to come. Also, restaurants are starting to take advantage of the city’s eased restrictions on sidewalk cafes and its new plan that allows restaurants to take over the city streets (like Laughing Man did ages ago). See some good efforts by Gran Morsi, Tamarind and The Palm below.

It will be interesting to see what kind of hours retail operators decide to follow. For instance, hours at Ever After are 11 to 4, Monday through Friday only. Certainly for the summer this will keep costs down while the neighborhood is empty. And maybe this is what shopping looks like moving forward…

Also, Battery Park City has opened its dog runs. (Hudson River Park’s are already open.)

The Greenwich Hotel is opening July 1 (thanks to A. for the tip) but it looks like its food service will only be available to hotel guests and their guests, and only in their drawing room and courtyard. Stay tuned for more on Locanda Verde.
