Pier 15 Unveiled

The East River Waterfront's revamped pier is pretty fierce, with lots of ramps, stairs, and cut-outs. On a gray morning with few people, it wasn't the warmest place to be—I kept imagining I was in an Italian prison yard, aesthetically speaking, although that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Suggestion Box: Bogardus Plaza

After I disparaged the green paint on the street, the Friends of Bogardus Garden asked what I'd suggest instead. Which got me wondering: What do you think should be done with the plaza, aesthetically speaking, now that it's on its way to becoming permanent? / 12 comments
