So far the Taste of Tribeca Community Fund has delivered 5400 meals. Plus photographer Yaron Leshem offering steep discounts; Sapar Contemporary offering virtual studio visits.
The original goal was $15k; now organizers have purchased and delivered 1800 meals, and hope to double that in the next two weeks.
Turning the tables, Taste is raising funds to buy meals from local restaurants, who in their turn are feeding local health care workers. It's a win-win out of a terrible loss. / 2 comments
