What’s the deal with the exercise equipment on the second floor of 40 Harrison (facing Greenwich)? Heard that Equinox was opening another branch at Independence Plaza North but cannot find any publicity. The doormen at 40 Harrison won’t or cannot provide any info. —Jane

“Years ago I heard one of the gym chains was interested in putting in a gym at IPN,” emailed a resident who I thought would know what was up. “However, when I noticed the work being done on the second floor, I asked one of the doorman what was going on. He told me it wasn’t a gym company involved with the new gym—Stellar Management was putting it in for the residents. He didn’t know if there was going to be a charge or what that charge might be.” I ran the question by Stellar Management, and they confirmed the gym will be for residents only.
