Nosy Neighbor: What’s in the Ground-Level Space at 11 Warren?

11 Warren Woolworth Residences sales officeWhat went into the ground-level space at 11 Warren? The wood blinds are constantly closed. There is a stylized “W” above the door. —B.

I was going to respond directly to B.’s email, but then a neighbor asked the same question, so maybe more of you haven’t been paying attention are wondering. It’s the sales office for the Woolworth Tower Residences, as the condos atop the Woolworth Building are known (to the developer, anyway). When the sales office was announced, much was made about how it’d be by appointment only, which might explain why the blinds are always down. (Discretion, you know….) Or maybe it’s not actually open yet? I’ve never seen anyone going in or out (and I live quite close), and even more odd, some of the slats are askew, revealing a ladder and other crap.

Woolworth Residences sales office windowSomewhat amusing, there’s another decorative “W” across Warren, at a service entrance for 261 Broadway.
